Two dead, several injured after fatal multi-vehicle collision in Oman

The Oman Police notified motorists coming from Nizwa towards Muscat of a traffic accident resulting in the deaths of two and road diversions.

A two-vehicle collision occurred on Sultan Thuwaini bin Said Road under the Baddab Bridge in Ash-Sharqiya, affecting travellers heading from Nizwa towards Muscat. Authorities reported that two trucks collided, triggering a chain reaction involving five additional vehicles in the same lane.

The collision resulted in the deaths of two Asian nationals. Several other individuals sustained injuries of varying severity and were immediately provided with medical attention.

Traffic authorities have implemented diversions to ensure the safe flow of vehicles while emergency teams and police manage the scene. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and follow the traffic personnel's instructions.
