According to the White House, the president’s encounter with Shara — once detained by the US during the Iraq conflict — will proceed as planned during the Riyadh visit.

Trump arrived in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday on the first international tour of his second term as the American president.

After arriving in Riyadh on Tuesday, Trump will make stops at Qatar and the UAE. Trump's itinerary includes Riyadh, Doha, and Abu Dhabi.
