Indian expat Sharada Iyer passed away in a "freak accident" while on a trekking expedition at the Wadi Ghul, known as the Grand Canyon of Arabia, in Oman's Jebel Shams, her sister Chitra Iyer said.
Chitra, who is an Indian playback singer, shared a touching tribute on social media to her "annoying, yet loveable sister."

Sharada is an Omani resident who hails from Kerala, according to media reports. Her mortal remains are being flown to Kerala, and last rites will be performed on January 7 at the ancestral home, Chitra said.
"What am I going to do? How will I ever carry on living without your annoying voice jabbering nonstop at the other end of the phone? Or screaming from the next room ?? Or just .. being annoying. Being the brat. Being you," Chitra said in a social media post, sharing pictures of Sharada.
