Saudi Arabia records first baby born on Riyadh Metro

Riyadh's public transport network celebrated a special moment at Al Andalus Station, welcoming the first baby born on the Riyadh Metro.
Riyadh Public Transport said its operations team handled the emergency with professionalism, calm, and compassion, with female staff members supporting the team until ambulance crews arrived. Officials noted that the incident demonstrated the team’s preparedness, effective coordination, and strong commitment to passenger safety.
To celebrate the occasion, Riyadh Metro gave the parents a commemorative gift. This included two first-class Darb cards valid for one year and a message of appreciation for all the staff involved.
In a social media post, Riyadh Transport said: "The heroes of the Riyadh train witnessed an exceptional moment at Al Andalus Station, where the operations team welcomed the first baby born on the Riyadh train network. The team handled the situation with remarkable humanity, professionalism, and composure, reflecting their readiness and genuine commitment to passenger safety."
