Saudi Arabia has announced new measures to address the status of visitors whose visas expired on February 25, 2026, amid ongoing regional war.

The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced on Wednesday that affected visa holders — including those on visit, Umrah, transit and final exit visas — are being offered two options.

Visitors can apply to extend their expired visas until April 18, 2026, through the Absher platform after paying the required fees. Alternatively, they are permitted to leave Saudi Arabia directly through international exit points without renewing their visas or paying any fees or fines, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The ministry urged all beneficiaries to take advantage of this grace period and depart before April 18 to avoid penalties under the Kingdom’s regulations.

The move aims to ease the situation for visitors who were unable to leave the country due to exceptional regional conditions.
