Qatar has denied claims made by a Bloomberg report which falsely stated the Gulf country's inventory of Patriot interceptor missiles held by the Qatar Armed Forces had been depleted.

The government's media office assured the interceptor missiles had not been depleted and remain well-stocked.

This comes a few hours after the UAE also rejected such claims made by the outlet about its defense capabilities, clarifying the Emirates possesses "diverse, integrated, and multi-layered air defence systems, capable of countering a full spectrum of aerial threats with high efficiency."

Meanwhile, Qatar said its Armed Forces have repeatedly demonstrated their capability to defend the nation against external threats and remain at full readiness to protect all citizens, residents, and visitors for as long as necessary.

Regarding the report that was published on the evening of Monday, March 2, the authority said it was reviewing all appropriate options, including legal options, to ensure the misinformation is promptly corrected.

"Publishing such false information without verification from official sources is deeply irresponsible, especially during this fast-moving and highly sensitive period in the region," the statement concluded.
