Authorities in Oman have arrested a citizen who has been suspected of shooting at three other citizens.

The North Al Sharqiyah Governorate Police Command of the Royal Oman Police made the arrest after the accused was suspected of firing gunshots at three citizens over prior disputes between them, initial investigations have revealed.

One of the victims has died. The other two are seriously injured, authorities have said.

The authorities are completing legal procedures against the accused.

Meanwhile, the Royal Oman Police, last month, in a crackdown arrested two people for drug trafficking across different locations.

They were accused of transporting crystal meth, heroin, hashish, marijuana, and psychotropic tablets across multiple locations in the Wilayat of Al Seeb.

The arrest was carried out by the Directorate General for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances.
