Minor fire at West Doha Power and Water Station: Kuwait ministry

No one was injured and the damage was limited to minor material losses, while the blaze was put out by specialised teams

Fuel tanks at the West Doha Power and Water Desalination Station caught fire after a drone was intercepted and a fragment struck the facility, the official spokesperson for the Kuwait Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, Engineer Fatima Abbas Jawhar Hayat, confirmed.
The station’s security and safety teams responded quickly and put out the minor fire in accordance with approved procedures and emergency plans. They contained and controlled the fire, and technical inspections of all units and equipment are still underway.
