Kuwait’s Anti-Narcotics Department, under the General Department for Drug Control, has apprehended two individuals illegally residing in the Fintas and Saad Al-Abdullah areas for their alleged involvement in smuggling narcotics into the Central Prison using drones.

The Ministry of Interior stated that extensive investigations and surveillance operations led to the identification and arrest of the suspects. The two were found to have used unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to transport illegal substances to an inmate within the correctional facility. In exchange for executing the smuggling operation, the suspects reportedly received monetary compensation.

Authorities emphasised that the case highlights the evolving methods employed by drug traffickers and reinforces the need for advanced security measures in correctional institutions. The operation is part of broader national efforts to enhance internal security and combat drug-related crimes.
