The Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia has announced several arrangements ahead of Haj.
Among those arrangements, the ministry has also revealed the last date for Umrah pilgrims and has regulated the entry of residents and tourists into the holy city.
For those performing Umrah, it is essential to get a visa to the country, and then secure an Umrah permit via the Nusuk app. Those performing the pilgrimage must also be vigilant to ensure they avail services from licensed operators.

Regulating the entry and exit of Umrah performers to and from the Kingdom
Last date for Umrah pilgrims to enter the Kingdom: Sunday, 15 Shawwal 1446 AH (April 13, 2025)
Last date for Umrah pilgrims to leave the Kingdom: Tuesday, 1 Dhul-Qi'dah 1446 AH (April 29, 2025)
Regulating the entry of residents to the holy city of Makkah
Starting from Wednesday, 25 Shawwal 1446 AH (April 23, 2025), entry into Makkah requires a work permit, a valid resident ID issued from the capital, or a valid Haj permit
Suspension of Umrah permits via the Nusuk platform
Effective from Tuesday, 1 Dhul Qidah 1446 AH (April 29, 2025) until 14 Dhul Hijjah 1446 AH (June 10, 2025)
Entry and stay in Makkah forbidden for visa holders of all types
Entry or stay in Makkah is not allowed for holders of all types of visas, except for those with a valid Haj visa. This is effective from Tuesday, 1 Dhul Qidah 1446 AH (April 29, 2025).
