Four members of a Kerala family were killed in a road accident in Saudi Arabia around 6pm on Saturday, according to Indian media reports.

The family had earlier reached Makkah to perform Umrah and were en route to Madinah when the fatal accident took place, Malayalam media said.

Media reports identified the deceased as Abdul Jaleel, a native of Manjeri, Malappuram district; his wife Tasna Thodengal; their son; and Jaleel's mother Maimunath Kakkengal.

Abdul Jaleel’s daughters, who reportedly sustained injuries in the crash, are undergoing treatment at hospitals in Saudi Arabia, according to Indian media.
