Bahrain detains stable worker for assaulting 2 horses with knife, stones
After knowing that his acts were caught on camera, the accused confessed; after investigations are complete, he will be referred to criminal trial

Bahrain said it is investigating a case of horse mistreatment, after a stable owner reported seeing wounds on two horses. The incident was reported to the Southern Hamad Town Police Station in the Northern Governorate Police Directorate.
During the investigation, the surveillance camera recordings revealed that one of the stable workers had assaulted the two horses, the head of Bahrain's Northern Governorate Prosecution said, according to an official statement.

He had attacked one of the horses with a knife, and thrown stones at the other, leading to injury, the public prosecution said. Authorities acted immediately upon receiving the report.
The Bahraini prosecution interrogated the accused and confronted him with the surveillance camera recordings, and the results of the investigation, following which the accused confessed.
The Bahraini Public Prosecution ordered his pre-trial detention pending the completion of the investigation, following which he will be referred to criminal trial, an official statement read.
