Schiphol spokesman Geert van der Varst said dozens of flights had been cancelled and dozens more were running at least 30 minutes late.
He said weather forecasters warned that conditions are unlikely to change before Wednesday and could persist into Thursday, while adding that all stranded passengers had been found hotel rooms by affected airlines.
Thirty-seven flights arriving at Heathrow and 22 departing were cancelled in the early hours of Monday, a spokesman at the London airport said.
At London City airport in the east of the capital, which handles many business flights, the fog forced the cancellation of eight flights and two had to be rerouted by 0800 GMT.
Several thousand passengers were stranded at Heathrow and London City on Sunday because of similar conditions. A total of 132 flights were cancelled at Heathrow and 44 at the smaller airport.
“Heathrow experienced heavy fog on Sunday and overnight,” a Heathrow spokeswoman said. “The fog has started to clear and there are now no restrictions on flying.”
