Five killed in encounters with Rangers

Five alleged suspects were killed in two separate encounters with Rangers in the Lyari area on Saturday.

According to a Rangers spokesperson, the paramilitary force was carrying out a search operation in the Lyari area when it came under attack and a shootout ensued with the gangsters, which resulted in the death of three gangsters. The dead were identified as Majid, Abdul Samad and Imam Baksh. The Rangers claimed that the suspects were involved in the killing of at least 40 people.

In another incident, Rangers retaliated a grenade attack near Bahar Colony and killed two suspects, identified as Junaid and Anees, who were associated with the Baba Ladla gang.
