Emirates airlines first flight would be arriving at Peshawar airport from Dubai on Thursday morning while Etihad fight will arrive on August 1.
Emirates and Etihad airlines on Wednesday announced resumption of flight operations at Bacha Khan Airport in Peshawar after a deadly terror attack on Pakistan International Airline (PIA) aircraft last month.
Qatar Airways had already restarted its operations on July 3.
Terminal Manager Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Peshawar Airport, Syed Latiful Haq, confirmed that Emirates and Etihad have informed the authorities about resuming their flight operations.
He said that Emirates airlines first flight would be arriving at Peshawar airport from Dubai on Thursday morning while Etihad fight will arrive on August 1.
Six international airlines, including Etihad, Gulf Air, Saudi Airlines, Emirates, Qatar Airways and Air Arabia operate from Peshawar airport, mostly carrying the people working in Middle Eastern countries.
Apart from Air Arabia, all five international airlines had announced suspension of their operations from Peshawar following the July 25 incident. — Online
