If you fancy living in a humble abode that appears ordinary on the outside, but has an interior fit for royals, then you should check out this home that’s up for sale in Irkutsk in Russia.

There are very few homes around to match the gold-platted interiors of this 11-year-old property owned by Russian tycoon Kanagat Ramazanov.

According to estate agent Sloboda who have put the property up in the market for a whopping Dh10.5 million, this mansion is considered Sistine Chapel of suburban real-estate.

According to them, the home was constructed in a palace style and borrows elements of Baroque and Empire styles with premium materials like marble and granite used in the construction.

Situated on two acres of land, the mansion measures 6,997 square feet and features five bedrooms with dressing rooms, private bathrooms, lawns, a pond, waterfall, three cedar arbours, a bathhouse and two garages.

The extravagant gold-plated interior is fitted with giant chandeliers, lavishly upholstered sofas and armchairs, huge decorative rugs, ornate finishing and a grand piano.

Ramazanov is planning to move out of the home as he can’t bear the winter temperature in Irkutsk that plunge to a chilly -50 degrees Celsuis. He's now seeking a home in warmer climes.
