In the same week, two Iranians on transit visa, were caught trying to process their paperwork at the Bahrain International Airport with forged British passports. In both cases the original passports were found in the luggage of those passengers.

Colonel Yousuf Al Ghatam, Assistant Undersecretary of Exits, Research and Follow-up at the General Directorate of Nationality, Passports and Residence (GDNPR) attributed to the press on Monday the discovery of the two cases to the competency of manpower and high tech-devices in use.

He said that those suspects were referred to the Public Prosecutor for further investigations, in which the Chinese suspects confessed of trying to enter Bahrain for employment purposes, while the Iranians admitted trying to migrate to UK to escape from security and economic situations in their hometown. — shamada@khaleejtimes.com
