Ministry's Public Relations Directorate announced on Sunday that riots occurred in the morning hours both inside and outside Al Jabriya Secondary Boy School, in which students shouted political slogans and damaged school's property. The students also clashed with police deployed outside the school.
"The students damaged the main gate and broke into the store of the school and used chairs, water tanks and equipment to attack passersby," the directorate said while highlighting that some masked men illegally entered the school and joined students in their riots.
The ministry said that disciplinary action would be taken against students involved in vandalism, and urged parents to instruct their children to focus only on their studies.
