Pakistani singer and actor Atif Aslam was all set to perform in Pune, India, on April 25, but changed his mind after dreaded Indian radical party, Shiv Sena, threatened to take action if the event went ahead.

Shiv Sena, a hardliner party, has often resisted cultural events featuring artists from Pakistan.

Atif Aslam has a sizeable fan following in India.

More then 1,000 tickets for the event had been sold, which the organisers said would be refunded. Online
