UAE-India travel: Mumbai Airport to face temporary closure on May 8
The airport authority said that the annual pre-monsoon runway maintenance has been scheduled between 11am (9.30am UAE time) and 5pm (3.30pm UAE time)

The runways at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in India's financial capital Mumbai will be temporarily closed for six hours on Thursday, May 8, for maintenance, the airport authority said.
The airport authority said that the annual pre-monsoon runway maintenance has been scheduled between 11am (9.30am UAE time) and 5pm (3.30pm UAE time).

"During this time, both the primary runway 09/27 and secondary runway 14/32 will be temporarily non-operational," CSMIA said in a post on X on Wednesday, May 7.

"CSMIA has meticulously coordinated this maintenance with multiple stakeholders, including airlines and aviation authorities, to enable a seamless experience for passengers. This proactive approach reflects CSMIA’s commitment to safety, efficiency, and reliability in its operations," the airport authority added.
In a separate post, CSMIA said that flight operations may be impacted due to airspace restrictions and closure of some airports across the country.
"In view of airspace restrictions and closure of certain airports across the country, flight operations may be impacted. We urge passengers to check with their airlines for the latest flight status before travelling to the airport. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding," the authority said.
