The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology has issued a tsunami advisory, stating that coastal areas in the Philippines facing the Pacific Ocean are expected to experience a tsunami wave height of less than one metre, on July 30.

This comes after a massive quake struck east Russia on Wednesday. The Philippine authority said that the "first tsunami waves are expected to arrive between 1.20pm to 2.40pm (PST)". The authority added that the waves "may not be the largest" and they "may continue for hours".

Those in the areas listed below have been urged to "stay away from the beach" and avoid going to the coast, in the same advisory.
