From Shah Rukh Khan to Priyanka Chopra, Bollywood glamour on display at Met Gala 2025

Fashionistas around the world wait eagerly every year for the first Monday in May for one reason—The Met Gala, where stars from around the globe show up looking fabulous in New York.

This year's event put the spotlight on the subversive style of Black dandyism, and Bollywood stars were ready to reflect this exact theme in their chosen attire for the night, some with a touch of India's tradition and culture.

Priyanka Chopra

Indian actress Priyanka Chopra showed up with her husband US singer-songwriter and actor Nick Jonas, dressing in a white dress with black dots.

Kiara Advani

This Bollywood actress made her debut at the place wearing Manish Malhotra. The Indian designer is known for designing clothes in several popular Bollywood films.

Advani, who married actor Siddharth Malhotra two years ago, is expecting her first child with him.

King Khan

Shah Rukh Khan, or 'King Khan', showed up in a black suit by Indian fashion designer Sabyasachi who is known for crafting stunning bridal looks.

The actor was spotted at New York City's John F Kennedy International Airport ahead of the big evening.

"Hi, I'm Shah Rukh," SRK humbly told the reporters stationed at the venue. The person behind the camera then asked him to introduce his designer and the outfit for the night. SRK acknowledged Sabyasachi's creativity as he said, "My designer Sabyasachi...he thought of it. For him, it's an expression of freedom and trying to be resolute and resilient against things that can oppress you."

Dilijit Dosanjh

Diljit Dosanjh, the actor-singer who sold out several shows recently, showed up in traditional attire.

In a post on Instagram, he shared some photos from the event and captioned them with "Inspired by The Theme of Black Dandyism, I Bring My Turban, My Culture & My Mother Tongue to the Met Gala."

He also thanked Nepalese American designer Prabal Gurung for the outfit and Cartier for the jewellery.
