India has denied allegations that it sponsored militants to carry out attacks in Balochistan, Pakistan that killed at least 18 civilians.
On Saturday, militants battled Pakistan's security forces in multiple cities across the southwestern province of Balochistan. Pakistan's military said that 92 militants, 15 security personnel and 18 civilians, including women and children, were killed.
The responsibility for the attacks was claimed by the banned separatist group Baloch Liberation Army, which said that it had killed 84 Pakistani security personnel.
The Pakistan military's media wing, ISPR, said the attacks were carried out by Indian-sponsored militants and that security forces had thwarted attempts to seize control of any city or strategic installation.

India has "categorically" rejected these allegations, calling them "baseless". In a statement, the official spokesperson of the Indian foreign ministry, Randhir Jaiswal, called Pakistan's claims of Indian interference the country's "usual tactics to deflect attention from its own internal failings."
He referred to the repeated allegation by Pakistan that India funds militant groups within its borders and instigates violence in certain regions, saying that the government "would do better to focus on addressing long-standing demands of its people in the region."
"(Pakistan's) record of suppression, brutality and violation of human rights is well known," said Jaiswal in his statement.
