India attacked nine sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir early Wednesday morning, targeting what it called 'terrorist infrastructure'.

Pakistan called the attack an 'act of war' and promised it won't 'take long to settle the score'. Twenty-six civilians, including one child, were killed in the strikes, Pakistan said. Ten people were killed, 48 injured on Indian side of Kashmir.

Five Indian jets and one Indian drone were shot down by Pakistan.

India blamed Pakistan for the Pahalgam attack last month in which 26 were killed. Pakistan denied responsibility.
