UAE's NCM records 6.0-magnitude earthquake in Japan

A 6.0-magnitude earthquake was recorded in Japan on August 23, 2026, according to the UAE’s National Center of Meteorology (NCM) National Seismic Network.

The weather department noted that the tremor occurred in Japan at 5.44pm UAE time.

The tremor occured at a depth of 46 km, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre said.
