At least 30 killed, 6 seriously wounded in Guinea landfill collapse

Thirty people died and six were seriously wounded Sunday on the outskirts of Conakry, Guinea's capital, after a mound of rubbish in a landfill collapsed onto homes following heavy rains, said a government statement.

The accident happened at 2am (0200 GMT) Sunday morning, at the Dar-es-salam neighbourhood in the Bbessia district, said the government statement.
