Aeroplane door falls from sky on golf course

The absence of the door did not pose any direct threat to passengers since it did not cover any pressurized area of the plane.

Golfers at Green Meadows Golf Course in Charlotte, North Carolina, got the shock of their life when their game of golf was rudely interrupted by an airplane door that fell from the sky.

A bystander told WBTV that he witnessed the object "falling from the sky, twirling around in circles and land approximately 40 yards to the right of the green" near the 7th hole, Mashable reported.

It was later found that the door belonged to a hydraulic servicing area of an American Airlines plane, which landed 20 minutes after the incident.
