At least 17 people were killed and 12 others injured on Tuesday in a collision involving a rail maintenance train and a freight train in Angola's southern Namibe province, authorities said.

Emergency crew on site said the death toll could go up and that there are still victims stranded in the trains, Xinhua reported.
