15 among wedding party electrocuted in India bus mishap
"At least 15 died on the spot while 35 were admitted in a nearby hospital. The condition of some is critical."
The people were travelling from Bachera to Morla village in the district.
"The incident occurred at around 3.15 in the afternoon when a bus carrying a wedding party of over 50 people came in contact with a high tension live wire near Saans village," a police official told IANS.
"At least 15 died on the spot while 35 were admitted in a nearby hospital. The condition of some is critical," he added.
Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje expressed grief over the incident and rushed a team of her cabinet colleagues to the area.
An ex-gratia of Rs.500,000 to the next of the kin of the deceased was announced by the electricity department.
