Tunis — At least 14 people were killed and 70 injured when a train and a lorry collided south of the Tunisian capital on Tuesday, the transport and interior ministries said.
The accident happened at El Fahes, some 60 kilometres from Tunis, at around 6:30am (0530 GMT) in the midst of the morning rush hour.
“The death toll could rise,” Transport Minister Mahmoud Ben Romdhane told Mosaique FM radio.
