Peshawar: At least 10 terrorists were killed by security forces during an ongoing operation in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan on Thursday morning.
According to a statement issued by Director-General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa, security forces carried out intelligence-based targeted operation in the hideouts of terrorists located in Datta Khel area close to the Pak-Afghan border.
At least 10 terrorists associated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taleban Pakistan were killed in the operation. They were wanted in various cases.
The successful operation was carried out by security forces in line with the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azab.
According to ISPR, security forces have taken control of the area. Weapons and ammunitions and other belongings were taken into custody by the security forces from the terrorist hideouts.
Security forces claimed that the terrorists were wanted in various attacks in the area.
The pace of operation was accelerated after the security men were martyred in a terrorist attack recently.
During the operations in the last the three days, security forces have achieved significant success in various area of the province.
