Which book(s) are you reading at the moment?
Nothing excites me more than reading a good book. Most times, I read two books simultaneously. Currently, I am reading two completely different genres. The first one is on personal development - The Mastery Manual by Robin Sharma, and the other is a fun read, Mrs Funnybones by Twinkle Khanna.
There comes a point in your life when you need to pause and reflect before you start again. We have always known that with great power comes great responsibility; however, The Mastery Manual is a great reminder that responsibility starts at the very onset of our lives and gratitude, along with goals, should be at the forefront of everything, every day. The book is a series of thought-provoking short stories that trigger a significant affirmation towards the end of every narration. Having fun while living the fundamentals of life, we must strive each day to outshine the yardstick we set for ourselves.
Mrs Funnybones is another book that makes me giggle throughout - little everyday household instances are illustrated in the most quirky and hysterical manner. It has been a complete treat!
Which books would you say have changed your life?
I really enjoy biographies and personal development books, and these have truly contributed to the person I am today - from finding true inspiration and creativity to manoeuvre life's different challenges, to switching mindsets and embracing new perspectives. Oprah Winfrey's A Rags to Riches Story is a very inspiring read. Another book that has clearly changed the way I look at life is Michael Newton's Journey of Souls. It unravels the idea that our consciousness survives even after death, and the reason why you ought to meet certain people in the journey of life. I also take great inspiration from all of Tony Robbins' books, Gary Vaynerchuk, Wayne Dyer, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev and Bill Gates.
A memorable literary character, according to you.
Sherlock Holmes - we all carry a little Sherlock in us in our everyday lives. Life would get so mundane otherwise.
A book you revisit from time to time.
Rhonda Byrne's The Secret, as it always is a good reminder of
the power of positive thinking and manifestation of one's future vision.
Your favourite literary quote.
"The key to realising a dream is to focus not on success alone but on true significance, and then even the small steps and little victories along the path will take on a greater meaning." - Oprah Winfrey
