Dubai's Lapita Hotel is inviting visitors to the Haunted Mu Cluster - but only if you dare. One of the guest room buildings is being converted into a haunted house, complete with elaborate decorations and bone-chilling welcome amenities to ensure an immersive, spine-tingling haunted house experience. Hair-raising episodes are guaranteed during guests' stays, with staff dressing up in eerie costumes and frightening guests throughout the night.
The stay package is available from October 27-31, with rates starting from Dh1,250 per room per night, including in-room breakfast.
The hotel strongly advises against
taking children along, as they intend to genuinely scare the heebie-jeebies out of guests all night long!

Free shaves for Movember
As men around the world grow moustaches for Movember in support of men's health issues - including prostate and testicular cancer - Vida Downtown is teaming up with Chaps & Co for an interactive 'Barber in a Box' installation that will recreate the traditional British barbershop - and offer touch-ups and light shaves by skilled barbers at absolutely no cost.
The pop-up at the hotel will be available starting November 1, Tuesday to Saturday, from 9am to 7pm. 'Barber in a Box' takes inspiration from authentic barbers and their handy grooming kits, and will offer a vintage feel, including the swanky but austere Belmont chair, in a glass box.

Don't miss the photo op!
Dutch 3D artist Leon Keer, whose work has appeared on streets across the globe, has brought his signature pop/surrealist style to LEGOLAND Dubai's Cobweb Castle Halloween event running until October 31. His (very admirable) 3D mural includes a skeleton Minifigure, LEGO bricks and a large spider. The mural took Keer about 30 hours over four days to complete. Definitely not a photo op to miss! Other attractions at the park are trick or treating, dance performances, and a chance to meet their very own Frankenstein. Tickets to the park start at Dh165 for UAE/GCC residents and can be purchased at LEGOLAND.ae.

To market, to market
One of the many things we can expect now that cooler climes are here is more outdoor markets. Kicking off their Garden Souq on November 4 is Dubai Garden Centre. The market will take place every Saturday until March 31, from 10am to 2.30pm, featuring local vendors and artists. But it's not all pots and plants here. Clothes, jewellery, shoes, accessories, home décor, and other artisan products will also be available. What's more, you can make a morning of it with their food stalls, live music, live cooking, yoga sessions and a dedicated kids section. Entry is free. Call 04-5904000 or visit www.dubaigardencentre.ae for more info.
