Have a truly cool snack
NOVO Cinemas has recently introduced frozen popcorn into its menu and we're sure it's something to watch out for. Available in two flavours - salted and caramel - these delectable treats are flash frozen with liquid nitrogen and release clouds of vapour when chewed - elevating the movie experience, no doubt! Also, watch out for flavours like double chocolate, orange, masala and spice buffalo that will be coming soon. The snack is priced at Dh7.50 and is available at Ibn Battuta and Dubai Festival Mall.
Fancy a round of 'mumprov'?
Courtyard Play House is launching a course of improv designed for mums. The eight-week course will have women work as a team to create stories and scenes, learn the art of improv, and have fun while they're at it. It aims to improve self-confidence and communication. The course will take place from January 30 to March 16, through six one-hour sessions. Fees are Dh1,000 and you can register at www.courtyardplayhouse.com/events/improv-mums-mumprov/.
The great shoe swap is back
Aldo, in association with The Red Crescent UAE, has launched the charity initiative #Aldosolemates to encourage customers to give their pre-loved shoes to those in need. On February 3, from 9am-
11am (although you might want to get there as early as possible), residents can give away a pair of shoes (any brand) and get a brand-new ALDO pair in return! Arrive post 11am and you'll get 50 per cent off when you donate a pair. And be rest assured that your pre-loved shoes are going to someone who will really treasure them!
