Heritage masterpieces
Shopoholics, rejoice! Numaish presents an exclusive trunk show by Gaurang & Kishandas & Co today and tomorrow (August 30 and 31) at Taj Dubai, from 11am-7pm. Gaurang Shah is fondly known as the master of weaves for creating decadent lehengas, anarkalis and more, while Kishandas & Co is rooted in the tradition of royal heritage jewellery from Hyderabad. Their association will, no doubt, bring some exquisite designs to Dubai's fashion-conscious. For more info, follow Numaish on Facebook.

Laugh out loud
Award-winning Netflix comedian Atul Khatri is back in Dubai and is promising to have audiences splitting their sides. The comic, who was one of the first from Asia to have his own Netflix special Happiest Ending, will entertain audiences on September 14 at Jumeirah Creek Hotel. The event is produced by Awesome Events and VDesi Laughs and hosted by local favourite Miqdaad Dohadwala. Tickets are priced at Dh85 and Dh125 and available on Platinum List now.
Home sweet home
Ikea has launched its 2020 catalogue themed 'A fresh new start' which focuses on the importance of physical and mental rest. The Swedish furniture giant revealed four launches for the next four seasons; the Autumn Launch is about going back to the office or school; the Winter launch is on the celebration of joy; the Spring launch promotes a conscious home; while the Summer launch looks at having fun in the great outdoors.

Everyone's a star
The eighth edition of Fashion for All is back, and will be held on Saturday, September 7, at Al Ghurair Centre from 7-9pm. Walking the ramp are 24 models of varied nationalities, abilities and ages (from eight to 68 years old!), who have been training for the last four weeks under choreographers Komal Chhatwani & Kalyan Chakravarthy. The event promises to be an inclusive and fun-filled one as always.
