One of Mumbai's popular restaurants Hitchki (meaning hiccup in Hindi) recently opened its Dubai's outpost and has already become a go-to for foodies in the city. This latest fusion Indian restaurant boasts of an eclectic menu and is co-located within Bazxar restaurant. The low lighting, comfy seating arrangements and the pop music give it a relaxed vibe, making it the perfect choice for those celebrating Valentine's after work.
We started our gastronomic journey by sampling bites such as Mumbai Ka Julius Caesar that comprised layers of papad stacked with lettuce and a tasty Caesar dressing. It was followed by the Rasam Minestrone, a thick vegetable soup with crisp rice noodles; the hint of tamarind made it a comfort dish.
Our appetisers included the Charlie Chapli Kabab, a melt-in-your-mouth minced lamb patty, with potato chips and zesty mayo that was an absolute treat for the senses. A must-have is the Chocolate Chilli Chicken that is not too sweet and has a refreshing after-taste. While a bite of the cheesy batata vada roll will take you back to the streets of Mumbai.
The dum chicken biryani, butter the chicken, and pindi chole, along with naans all make for a delightful main course. The desserts are both Insta-worthy and mouth-watering. The signature Baratiyon Ka Swagat is a chocolate fondant dessert with paan pasand jelly and candyfloss and is full of nostalgia, while the truffle gulab jamun merges two decadent sweets into one dish of pure indulgence. They also have a quirky beverage menu that features drinks such as Geeta Babita, a kokum-based drink and the thirst-quenching Boondi Mojito.
The chic vibes and delicious food here will make sure this Valentine's proceeds without any hiccups!
