My Top Event of the Week
It was such an honour to be invited by the United Nations to be a speaker and moderator for the Sustainable Development Goals Media Summit at UN headquarters in New York. In 2015, world leaders agreed to 17 goals for a better world by 2030. These include eliminating poverty, fighting inequality and taking steps to prevent climate change. Guided by these goals, it is now up to all of us to work together to build a better future for everyone.
My Top Personality of the Week
Greta Thunberg, the 16-year-old Swedish climate activist, has created a stir worldwide. Millions of people around the world recently supported the 'Fridays For Future' movement that was essentially a global strike to press the panic button about climate change. She had kids as well as adults sit up and take note.
My Top Restaurant of the Week
Omar at Vaucluse is the number one restaurant in New York at the moment. Owned by a friend Omar Hernandez, the food is outstanding and you always bump into A-list celebrities such as Robert De Niro, Samuel L. Jackson and others. The ambience is fabulous.
My Advice of The Week
Pay more attention to the issue of climate change. Our future is in our hands, so let's make a change.
