How do you typically start your workday?
I usually wake up very early in the morning in order to make the most of the day. I head to the office and begin with meetings in order to get the creative process started.
Describe your work in a sentence.
Rebellion, pure rebellion.
What is your favourite thing about your job?
Being able to use my creativity - I love the fact that I am involved in every step of the process from design to execution. I get to feel inspired every day and I'm able to create something I'm majorly proud of.
What has been your most challenging experience to date and how did you resolve it?
I try not to see problems in life. I use positive thinking to overcome anything and never take "no" for an answer. At the end of the day, I'm a fighter and a strong person who never gives up!
What advice would you give your younger self, if you could?
I would encourage my younger self to always follow her dreams no matter what. It's something that everyone should hear in their lives and I think it's an important part of being happy.
How do you maintain a work: life balance?
I know how to separate my work and private life. Having balance is the key and keeping open communication with those around you is important. It's also really important to have some downtime and spend quality time with loved ones - they're your biggest supporters, after all.
Any advice for youngsters just getting into the professional arena?
Be patient - things will happen only if you are willing to work hard and put your heart and soul into your work. Nothing worth having comes easy.
A fictional character you think would make for a good role model - and why?
Scarlett O'Hara, the main protagonist in Margaret Mitchell's 1936 novel Gone With The Wind - she's strong, independent and overcomes many challenges in her life.
What is your greatest dream, professionally?
My childhood and early life are very similar to Coco Chanel's. I love and respect how she always fought for her ideas and the right to use her creativity. Even today, she has left a massive legacy and huge imprint in our society. If I can accomplish anything similar to her legacy, I will achieve my biggest dream.
