Other than Shabana Azmi, last year's critically-acclaimed Neerja had another takeaway. Jim Sarbh, who played Khalil, the terrorist with ice in his veins. Other than the fact that he portrayed a non-Indian character with rare aplomb (remember times when Indian actors have been disastrously passed off as 'foreigners'?), he was utterly convincing, bringing into play a kind of grittily inhuman method acting that only a handful can lay claim to. Jim's new film Raabta will release next month, and there is already a multitude of fans waiting for him to turn out yet another bravura performance. This week, we caught up with Jim - some call him the thinking man's actor, some call him an unlikely (read: non-Bollywoodian) star - to get a peek into his artistic finesse, and came back absolutely certain that it's the beginning of a helluva journey for this 29-year-old.

Clean eating is taking UAE - especially Dubai - by storm. At almost every gathering I find myself in, there's at least a couple of people who call themselves clean-eaters. Even if they are not eating clean every single time, they try their darnedest to stick to it as often as they can. Unlike being, say, gluten-intolerant, clean eating is a choice. But exactly how sustainable is it? We find out.
New research suggests we are not spending enough time with our families. Why are you not surprised? But, where is the time, you ask. To commemorate International Day of Families on May 15, we explore how it is possible to eke out the gift of time for our dear ones. In Travel, set out on a search for the one-horned rhino at Kaziranga National Park in Assam. In Fine Dining, check out brilliant Anatolian cuisine at Ruya, in Grosvenor House. In Fashion, yellow gets a once-over as the sun gets set to shine real bright.
All this and much more.
Enjoy reading WKND, and have a great weekend.
