How would you describe your work in a sentence?
As managing director of a bespoke tailoring studio for women, I manage and supervise the daily activities of the tailors and designer in the studio, along with day-to-day planning sessions.

What would you say is the best part of your job?
The chance to meet new clients every day and create exciting new designs together. I love seeing finished products that my clients enjoy wearing.

What is your #1 personal principle at work? Do you have a catchphrase that you like to use to inspire your colleagues or subordinates?
Work smart - with good time management, you can actually achieve a lot in a day. This holds especially true in a tailoring studio, where time is of essence.

What is the one skill you think is important for every professional to have?
I think every professional should be able to communicate well - and with respect for their peers. Good communication is the key to smooth operations in any organisation.

What has been your most challenging experience to date, and how did you resolve it?
Recently, I was tasked with reproducing a most complicated designer dress that was created by a well-known fashion stylist, in a very short period of time. I worried that we would never be able to manage it, but my tailors and I worked on it together after a brainstorming session - and we did it! It took a great understanding of the stitching style to achieve the design, but the end product came out perfectly.

Who is your role model as the perfect professional?
Sir Richard Branson of Virgin Group! He has achieved such tremendous success with his company and in his personal life - he is a real inspiration.

If you had one free hour in the day to relieve stress, how would you use it?
I would opt for a foot reflexology treatment at a nice spa. Having a foot massage in a calm environment really does help relieve stress.

Any advice for aspiring entrepreneurs?
Never give up before trying something out, and stick  it out through thick and thin. Also, try to collaborate with people you can learn from.

What is your greatest dream, professionally?
My greatest dream is to be a successful businesswoman who is well respected in the community - and to have a thriving atelier some day.

If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?
I would donate a part of it to orphanages in Third World countries and use the rest of it to take my business to the next level.
