Drinking green tea always
makes me feel good - and I swear it's not the placebo effect. But what if I were to get this reed diffuser steeped in green tea sensibilities to make me feel even better and gently transport me
into a "good mood"? It's a state of mind I'm willing to take a chance on. The smell promises to be awesome too!

With my blinkers on

Okay, so this is Gucci, looks like a million bucks, and is very on-trend. Case almost sealed. Fringe benefits: love the golden offset, and
the fact that squares (squarish, to be more precise) and rounders
can co-exist in one frame. There's a pretty price to be paid for this, but it's a piece of chic art that will probably never go out fashion (it better not!). So I'm seriously thinking...

Why I'm charged up about an adaptor

Always, always a last-minute scramble for me: I'm all packed to travel somewhere and I realise I don't have an adaptor for my phone or my hair dryer or whatever it is that needs to be adaptable in order to get charged. I generally bank on good offices of friends or hotels (once I had to get one carted into my room in the dead of the night because my phone had decided to heave its last gasps just then). This international travel adaptor from Oshtraco is designed to fit British, North American, Australian, European, Indian and South African sockets, and boasts a max load capacity of 500 watts. I think I want to pick this up as a permanent co-traveller!

Let's do pasta!

I love pasta (who doesn't?). The good folks out there at Carluccio's just did me a favour by announcing a host of limited edition, Mediterranean-themed pastas available July onwards for three months. I'm already drooling over the Broccoli & Asparagus Feretto (Dh69): there's talk of creamy broccoli sauce, Parmesan, fresh garden peas and asparagus. The others sound almost as good (Black Seafood Spaghetti or Pulled Beef Paccheri, anyone?).
Go get 'em!

Clocking me-time

There is something about this (deliberately) vintage, slightly-frayed look that has me counting the hours before I can hang it from my wall. My grandparents had a couple of wall clocks like this, made of wood and metal; the doors had to be opened for them to be wound up every morning. This, I am guessing, won't need an alarm setting for a wind-up...
