Entertainment activities held for orphans

ABU DHABI — The Red Crescent Society organised recreational activities in Abu Dhabi and Mussafah for orphans with the support of philanthropists in the country, on the occasion of the Orphan Day.

The director of the Department of Sponsorship and Orphans Affairs at the RCS, Ahmed Sediq Al Khaja, asserted that the RCS is always ready to provide all forms of distinguished care for orphans whether locally or externally, giving much attention to the psychological aspects of orphans.

He pointed out that the events and activities carried out by the RCS for the local orphans was to commemorate the Orphan Day, focused on orphans’ issues.

Al Khaja said the RCS organised an entertainment and educational programme in cooperation with student Red Crescent group at the Family Development Foundation and the Information Department at the Abu Dhabi Police Headquarters.
