I am a huge fan of your remedies. I am 31 and have good skin. I am a bit worried that my face has begun sagging a bit though. How can I tighten the skin? I'm a working mother of two, so I'd appreciate an easy natural remedy. Someone suggested rubbing an ice cube over my skin. Is this true?

Apply a honey and banana mask. Mash 1 tablespoon banana and add to 1 teaspoon of honey; add just enough corn flour to make a smooth mask. Apply on the face and rinse off with cold water. Do this every day. This mask is excellent to firm up your skin. Splashing cold water a couple of times every day will work better than using ice cubes. Thanks for appreciating my column.
I am a 15-year-old boy and have been having white spots around my face for nearly two weeks. Please let me know how to remove them.

I'd be happy to suggest a remedy, but would need to see the white patch to understand the problem properly. Please feel free to send a picture, so I can guide you. I would also suggest seeing a dermatologist for clarification and treatment.

I am a regular reader of your column and love your advice. I have a problem with the sudden greying of my hair. A lot of grey hair has started appearing on my head, despite following a healthy, vegetarian diet, drinking plenty of water, exercising regularly and sleeping soundly. I am 44 years old. I tried applying onion juice. I also regularly apply a mask of egg, yoghurt, oil and lime juice before washing my hair. These aren't exactly helping me though. Please suggest a remedy. Also, out of curiosity, could you tell me if it's my existing hair that's turning grey or is my new hair growing grey?

Grey hair could be hereditary. Making a paste of curry leaves and massaging this into the scalp is a tried-and-tested way to stimulate hair growth and even help darken grey hair - but this will only happen gradually. If you are looking for a quick remedy, applying coffee powder or tea water to the hair and leaving it on for a few hours is a good way to coat grey hair. Onion juice stimulates hair growth and the mask you mentioned makes for a good hair conditioner. Lastly, it's the existing hair that usually turns grey; the new hair could still grow dark if you have not lost the pigment.
I am a 16-year-old boy and have a lot of pimples and marks on my face. I know it's because of the intense dandruff I have. Can you give me a way to reduce pimples, marks and dandruff?
Let's tackle your dandruff problem first. Add 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel to 9 drops of tea tree oil and massage it into your scalp every day. You may also apply this to your face to clear the pimples and marks. Leave on overnight for best results. Shampoo your hair with a protein shampoo and avoid hot water, both on the scalp and face. Do this every alternate day and you will see an amazing difference to your skin and scalp. Drink 10-12 glasses water daily and stick to a healthy diet.
