Is it okay if I use water and cinnamon powder to effectively get acne and acne marks removed?
- Name withheld
Water mixed with cinnamon powder is good for clearing acne and acne marks but, for quicker results, mix cinnamon powder with aloe vera gel and apply on your face. Leave on for an hour, then rinse. Do this everyday.

I keep cutting myself while shaving and, because of my skin type, the marks are almost permanent. They do not fade. Please help me get rid of these marks, as my skin is clear otherwise and I'd really like to keep it that way.

Take a slice of green tomato and rub it on the affected areas. Leave on overnight. If you do this daily, you will notice the marks fading away. If you prefer using an oil, coconut oil is a very effective remedy for lightening marks. And please be careful while shaving.

I have dry, white lips, which I would love to soften. Please give me a good remedy for making my lips look healthy, smooth and pink.

If by white lips you mean a pale colour, then make a mix of half a teaspoon of glycerine, a few drops of lemon juice and a pinch of sugar. Apply a thin film over your lips. After 10 minutes, scrub this off; follow with a chilled water rinse. Do this everyday for healthy, smooth and pink lips.

I am a 17-year-old girl. I have pimples on my cheeks, forehead and chin, and blackheads and whiteheads on and around my nose. I have hair on my upper lip, which I usually thread, but I have now noticed a thin hair growth on my cheeks that I can't thread due to my pimples. Hair is also growing on my neck. During my summer holidays, I used to apply sunscreen, so my face didn't get too tanned; but my hands, forearms, feet and legs have become very dark. I wear glasses and the area around my eyes is also dark. I look funny because my cheeks are pale and pink (full of pimples), my nose is dark (due to blackheads), my T-zone and  area around the eyes dark (due to tanning), and my neck pale! I know you've recommended lemon juice for tan, but it itches my skin and dries it out (maybe because I have thick hair growth on my body). I cannot keep any mask on overnight, because I feel very cold. Lemon juice and aloe vera also make me cold. I'm sorry for such a long mail but am hoping you can help!

Here is a treatment you need do for an hour every day for your pimples, facial and neck hair, and blackheads. Take 1 tablespoon of corn flour, 1 tablespoon of rice powder and egg white. Make a paste and apply a thick layer on the affected areas; when dry, scrub off using circular movements. Follow with a cold-water rinse. For the tan on your arms, legs and feet, and the dark circles around the eyes, apply juicy potato pulp on the affected areas; leave on for 30 minutes, then rinse with regular tap water. When out in the sun, always use sun protection; reducing the amount of time spent looking into computer screens can also help you avoid dark circles.
