I'm a 17-year-old girl with naturally curly hair that is prone to frizz. I wash my hair twice a week (any more than that and it tends to get very dry). Could you recommend a simple home remedy to help me manage my tresses?

Massage mashed avocado into your curly tresses and wrap your hair with a shower cap or cling wrap to allow its natural oils to nourish your hair. You can avoid shampooing after - just a light rinse should be more than enough to remove the avocado from your hair. The rich oil of the avocado will definitely nourish your hair, leaving it soft and frizz-free.
Will you please tell me where I can buy rosemary oil for my hair?
Theresa Lobo

Rosemary oil can be bought from any of the local pharmacies as well as from The Body Shop and Lifestyle stores. You can also buy dry rosemary as a herb from a supermarket. Mix this into almond oil and leave it for a few days before using it on your hair - it's sure to work wonders.
I'm 14 years old and I have curly hair. I recently got a haircut but the hairdresser cut my hair too short, and I don't like the new look at all! Please suggest a home remedy so that my hair grows as fast as possible - I hate having short hair.

Steaming your scalp, followed by a scalp massage, will help activate the hair growth. Take 1 tbsp almond oil and add 2 vitamin E oil capsules, 1 tsp castor oil and 6 drops of rosemary oil. Beat well and massage the mixture into your scalp after the steaming is done. Leave on for two hours and then rinse using a herbal shampoo.
My nine-year-old daughter has a lot of facial hair (especially on her upper lip) and ingrown hair on her legs. Can you suggest a solution?

A nine-year-old girl needs a very gentle hair removal treatment. Take 1 tsp oats powder, 1 tsp corn flour and 1 tsp cane sugar. Mix this together with an egg white to form a sticky mask. Apply the mask over the areas where you want to clear the hair and rub against the hair growth. This is not just a hair removal formula but also a beautifying mask that can be used everyday.
I'm a 33-year-old woman, and I have a severe hair fall problem - it has gotten so bad that I also have several bald patches. I am currently applying an oil mixture that was suggested by you (1 tsp fenugreek powder, 1 tsp castor oil and 1 tbsp almond oil). Kindly suggest a natural shampoo that can be used after the application of this oil.

If you visit any Indian herbal store, it will definitely have a lot of natural herbal shampoos. Ask for a protein hair shampoo, as it is pretty effective. It is important that you dry your hair naturally after you are done shampooing it - avoid using hair dryers, as this weakens the hair.
