I’ve been having financial problems for a decade and I’m a single mother. My extended family supports me as much as they can but they are not well off either. I feel stuck in a loop and I have no idea how to overcome this situation. I am constantly worried about supporting my child and see no way out of this. —Rita Dsouza

Dear Rita, I can feel the weight of you being a single mother and experiencing financial insecurity for the last 10 years.

Please do remember that at any given time you can only do your best. I hope you don’t only spend time worrying, but also thinking about how you have managed all these years.

Thankfully, you have a loving and supporting family behind you, even if they are not well off and can’t help you enough to gain the financial stability you seek.

I don’t know your exact circumstances, but I hope that your hard work, education, experiences and careful budgeting can pave the path for financial stability. I have always believed that “knowledge is power”. A simple Google search for “free educational platforms” will take you through a plethora of educational opportunities. I am certain that investing in furthering your education will help enrich your personal growth, and eventually help you make more money.
