How does it feel to venture into the world of business with Casa Milano?
The exhilaration is sinking in slowly. What began as a hunt for tastefully-designed fittings and fixtures for our own home led us to realise the untapped potential experiential luxury can have in this space. The UAE is a dynamic playground for brands like ours. Extravagance is in the region's nature and we did not want the sanitary ware segment to be left behind. Casa Milano celebrates design, excellence and luxury, and we're excited about unveiling an indulgent experience in this segment.
What are Middle Eastern audiences looking for in bathroom interiors?
Audiences in the Middle East are a noteworthy example when it comes to luxury and eye for uniqueness. Right from our lifestyles to infrastructure, everything has an extra edge. Consumers here have embraced technologically advanced options like smart toilets, music playing showers etc. Now is the time to heighten the luxury quotient and redefine benchmarks.

This is your business debut - what life lessons have you learnt along the way?
Be bold, be different and never shy away from your dreams!
What has been the most challenging part?
I wouldn't necessary call them challenges but putting together a state-of-the-art portfolio of products was an adventurous journey. Right from studying the design elements to exploring brands to understanding what will appeal to the audiences - all of it has been compiled meticulously. Given the nature of our brand, we did not want to settle for anything less, right from the collaborations, platform to location.

What has been your favourite part of the job?
Designing a concept store that features 24-carat gold tiles, diamond bathtubs, live shower demonstrations and more. Each touchpoint in the showroom is designed to inspire with display setups like hotel rooms, kitchens and bedrooms present.
One thing you cannot do without in your day?
Feedback! I like to hear what works and what doesn't. That helps rectify mistakes and ensures only the best is delivered.
One skill every professional should have?
Focus. In an increasingly distracted environment, staying focused seems to have become a challenge. If you want to grow as a professional, remaining focused is key.
Advice you'd give your younger self?
Travel more, fret less!

How do you maintain a work life balance?
I'm completing my graduation and working at the same time. I have created a schedule to focus on both aspects. On the weekends, I make time for family and friends. Work hard, play hard!
A person who'd make for a good role model?
My role models are my parents, whenever I need any sort of guidance in terms of work or personal life, I turn to them. They are the strongest pillars in my life and have always supported the decisions I make.
