How do you typically start your day?
On a workday, I wake up at 7am, have a coffee, read local and international news on my phone and go through social media to see what's happening in the world. I have three young children, so, sometimes it doesn't always run that smoothly. As CEO, I travel a lot internationally and try to stick to the same routine when I wake up, wherever I am in the world. Fridays are different - that's my family day. It starts with a family breakfast at home, prepared by myself. I love to cook.

Describe your work in a sentence.
I make people look beautiful.

What is your favourite thing about your job?
We have created a true family environment in the office. There is a genuine spirit of shared goals and cooperation, which I have not seen in any other organisation. I also love seeing the latest innovations in the industry, which is a privilege.

What has been your most challenging experience and how did you resolve it?
Starting the business. It's challenging because you can fear the unknown nature of the future. I believe that you need to overcome this and believe in yourself and just go for it.  This, I think, is the main challenge for any businessperson. Believe in yourself and you're halfway there.

What advice would you give your younger self, if you could?
Just go for it. Enjoy life and enjoy what you do.

How do you maintain that elusive work-life balance?
I'm fortunate; I genuinely love what I do, so as cheesy as it may sound, most of the time it doesn't feel like work. When I'm not travelling, I take an hour most weekday afternoons to go to the gym, usually returning back to the office or attending meetings later. Physical exercise is very important to me, helping me to relax and improve my general health. Fridays is always spent with my family. Making memories with them is one of the greatest pleasures in my life.

Any advice for youngsters just getting into the professional arena?
Believe in yourself, no matter what anyone says. Plan your to-do-lists and prioritise. When I'm interviewing candidates, I look for enthusiasm, creativity, professionalism and positivity.

A person you think would make for a good role model - and why?
My father is my role model. I have become what I am today because I always saw him working hard for the good of our family. He is the one who helped me set up certain work ethics. Through his hard work, determination and impressive achievements, my father has shown and taught me that nothing in my life is impossible.

What would you say your greatest dream is, professionally?
To bring my company into a new corporate level by making it one of the leading distribution houses recognisable by the largest multinational enterprises.
