Fog engulfed most of the UAE on Tuesday morning and The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) issued a statement warning of low horizontal visibility in various parts of the country due to fog, especially in the internal and western regions of the country.

Following NCMS tweets through the morning, heavy winds and fog are expected over the next few days in the country.

8:58am “NCMS is advising for not clubbing Arabian Gulf Sea due to its roughness”

8:29am “The lowest Temperature recorded over the country today morning was 8.9 in Hamim at 6:45 am.”

6:35am “Fog over Sharjah 400M - Ras Al Khaimah 100 M - Dubai 500 M”

6:33am "Fog formation with visibility less than 1,000m at times over most internal areas."

In its statement, NCMS urged drivers to abide by the traffic laws and leave a safe distance between cars to avoid accidents due to fog.

While skies still remain cloudy, temperatures will still range between 25 to 29 degrees Celsius. Reports also suggest a foggy New Year’s Eve in the UAE, and northwest winds are expected to cause the sea to be rough right until the evening of Wednesday, December 31.
