UAE issues warning for rain, strong winds until 9pm tonight

The UAE weather department on Sunday issued an alert for all residents, warning them of rain-bearing clouds and blowing sand.

"Convective clouds formation accompanied with rainfall with different intensities associated with fresh to strong winds causing blowing dust and sand, reducing horizontal visibility," the National Centre for Meteorology said.

The alert is applicable from 1.45pm until 9pm.
